Magic Reindeer Food

If you are looking for something quick and easy to make for a snack, whether at Christmas, Easter, or every day, try this out. I would suggest using candy-coated pieces for the seasonal colors. It also makes a great homemade gift that people think took a lot of time.

Magic Reindeer Food (Yields 25 cups)

2 (24 ounce) pkgs of vanilla candy coating or almond bark

3 c. mini bow pretzels

12 ounce can cocktail peanuts

14.25 ounce box frosted toasted oat o-shaped cereal

12 ounce box crisp rice cereal squares

16 ounce pkg of candy-coated pieces (or as I like to call them M&M's)

Red and green sugars

Place candy coating in glass container and microwave on hight 2 1/2 minutes or until melted, stirring once.

Combine pretzels and next three ingredients in a large bowl; add melted candy coating, tossing to coat.

Stir in chocolate pieces. Spread mixture onto wax paper, and sprinkle with colored sugars (see my recipe on how to make your own). Let stand 30 minutes. Break into clumps.
