Homemade Sprinkles

I usually make my own sprinkles, like I used on my spritz cookies. It's easy, inexpensive, and I get to use the color that I want.

My recipe consists of taking granulated sugar, adding a couple drops of food coloring, and shaking it in a covered jar until the color is dispersed evenly. If you want to deepen the color just add more of the same and if you want to change the color, add a different one to the jar and shake. (I like to use the back of the food coloring box to get some color ideas) It's ready to use immediately.
